INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Making Drawing Liquid with CONCENTRATED SOLUTION or CARRAGEENAN POWDER
CONCENTRATED SOLUTION
Can be used after mixed
-Refill the 2 plastic bottles of the concentrated liquid solution with room temperature water and shake a few times.
-Slowly pour 2 bottles of the mixed liquid into the marbling tray, be sure the solution does not lather up. If bubbles appear, let the mixture rest.
CARRAGEENAN POWDER
Should “rest” for 12 hours before use
Basic proportions are 2g of Carrageenan to 400ml of water.
-Mix 2g of Carrageenan to about 400ml warm water (158 F degree recommended) and blend until fully dispersed.
-The white clumps of condensation on water surface is a normal phenomenon
-For larger quantities, repeat procedure using same proportion. Fill the marbling tray with mixture and allow it to “REST” for 12 HOURS.
Paper Marbling
Step 1: Fill tray with the mixture( 2 plastic bottles of 500 ml mixture)
Step 2: Squeeze a drop of paint about 1 inch above the surface. The color will disperse over the surface. Continue adding different colors.
Step 3: Use a plastic needle or marbling comb to marble colors together to make the marbling pattern you desire.
Step 4: Slowly place a sheet of paper at one end of the tray and let it down over the liquid’s surface. The paper must be laid onto the surface in one smooth motion to prevent bubbles and lines. Peel back the paper to reveal the marbled design.
Step 5: Leave the paint dry with clips. ( The mixture liquid can be used many times. If there is any residual pigment on the surface of liquid, use waste paper to suck out; If there is residual pigment at the bottom of liquid, use a dropper to suck out. )
